I don't know that my life truly began until I became a mother. It might sound corny and it may not be the case for everyone (that's totally okay too!) but it's true for me. I found a new purpose in my life and without any plans for it, I swapped my corporate badge for burp cloths and raising children became the front and center part of my life. What I didn't know was that I would be called to help other women embrace and love their motherhood too whether they were physicians, corporate baddies, or aspiring stay-at-home moms. My calling was even higher than becoming a mom- it was to serve others on their journey of motherhood alongside mine.
I am a mom of 3 boys and my own motherhood journey started in 2011. I realized through my own experience that early motherhood doesn't need to be overtly stressful and a period of "losing yourself". In fact, it's a period of self-discovery that needs to be honored and cherished.

Over the span of the next 10 years, I experienced all sorts of gaps in our system as I went through two more pregnancies and postpartum periods. I personally made changes to my own lifestyle and mindset about early motherhood and leaned on my rich heritage for tools like meditation and yoga to thrive. I realized the only way to close the gaps was by integrating Eastern practices with modern day motherhood. It felt like I had cracked some code and I needed to share it with the moms that came after me.

I am a Certified Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula, Certified Pregnancy Health Coach and published author of Expecting: A Pregnancy Journal. Helping new and expecting moms find calm in the chaos and lead healthy lives is my work's mission because moms have the most important job in the world-- to raise conscious and connected beings-- we can't do that if we're feeling frazzled and stressed!
